What is a Consistent Tank?

Post by Kevin J on Wed Mar 18, 2009 6:46 pm

I'm saving up for an HPA tank but there are so many brands and confusing things to calculate.

I know I want a 4500psi tank and the size is a toss a between 45 or a 68(Long Arms)

But the actual brand is where I'm stuck. I've looked at Crossfire, Pure Energy, Draxxus(Don't really care for the size), and others.

But I was wondering what brand is most reliable.

Little help, por favor?

Thanks.
KJ

PE would be you're best bet. Out of the 3 mentioned. The DXS is good but you mentioned the size was off for you. Crossfire is solid, but you cannot have any local shop service the reg, also a bit large like the DXS. Myth regs are super short, the first few of them had issues. Latest ones working ok. Hope this helps.

Actually the DXS 68 bottles are lighter. Its the reg that is large and heavy. There supposed to have a shorty style sometime. But I wouldn't hold my breath

I know this paintball shop that has great prices on tanks, its called Danger Zone or something like that. You should check it out, its right off of I-5 next to Hooters.

Yeah! Yeah! I know where it at I'll check it out

Funny I think I bought my gun and 2 t-shirts from there hummmmm....

For those who said PE tanks and size 45/45 tanks how much shots on average do you get (i know the gun makes a big difference but ballpark it)

Same question but for the 68/45.

What are the sizes of the rental tanks at DZ, I know they are 3000psi but what's the size of it?

I want to make the right choice on a reliable tank.

Thanks

Tanks size for rentals are 48. 68 45 should get you bout the 1000 shot mark. a 45 45 800 easy (4 pods and a hopper) with a little wiggle room. The nice thing bout our guns is you can run the tanks basically dry before refill. the last 200 psi you're one balling it, but you're still fighting! I might have one 68 4500 left of mine. I'll check, just haven't been using them anymore.

What about a Ninja Paintball Air Tank? I was looking around and saw that Tech PB likes em' USA made. The size for me looks good. So anyone hear anything about the Ninja Paintball Air tanks?

I'll probably get the 68/4500. But again don't want to make a $150+ investment unless that is going last and give me what I want.

Any news?

I went with a ninja 68/4500. can't use it just yet because my gun is getting checked for reg problems. But, when it's ready I'll be playing a lot more.!!
